Competitia se adreseaza elitei sahului feminin mondial, participantele fiind printre cele mai bune sahiste in tarile lor, conform coeficientilor ELO.

Organizatorii estimeaza ca actuala editie va fi a III-a competitie de gen pe plan mondial.Toate partidele acestei competitii vor fi transmise in direct pe Internet.

Muzychuk wins 2010 World Girl's Championship

Anna Muzychuk, one of the most talented young female players today, won the 2010 World Girl's Championship. She bounced back from her only loss in round 12 with a victory in the final round to win the event by 1/2 point.

Muzychuk caught in round 12

After a dominating performance in the first 11 rounds, Muzychuk lost to Deysi Cori, the 2nd seed of the event. It is a strange event for Deysi as well. She won her first 2 games, lost the next 4, the won the last 6, including a big one over the top seed.

In the mean time, Olga Girya won her 12th round to earn a share of the lead. Only the top 3 are still mathematically in the race for the Gold as the next group is far behind.
